PaRIS Health Survey

The Patient Reported Indicator Survey (or PaRIS) is an OECD initiative to promote people-centred health care. Australia is one of over 20 countries taking part in the PaRIS survey world-wide.

In Australia, the survey is being led by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

The survey aims to better understand patients’ experiences to improve health care systems in Australia and around the world.

The PaRIS survey took place in Australia between June and December 2023. The survey was open to over 6,500 accredited GP practices and their patients across Australia. National and international reporting on the survey outcomes is due to be released in 2024.
